Day 21

We arrived in Leon early,as planned, to rest my feet. Not blisters, just tired puppies! Carol is without complaint and loving the walk, although we have mountains ahead of us and thatś not her love.

Leon is a big city with lots of history, and I strangely dont feel like a tourist. We will soon go for some cafe con leche, after a little rain shower passes, and enjoy the busy street life.

We continue to meet up with new old friends met along the way. When you think about, where can they go? We are all on the way to Santiago, just at different speeds, ours along the slowest, but hey, weŕe making it.

Did I ever say that this is a looooong trip???

Carol is a bit frustrated because she wants to share some things, but it would be in great detail and not for this venue. She wants to go Level 4 all day…..and has amazing encounters with all she meets. Let,s just say the who, what, when, where, why, how, all get covered. Be prepared.

Carol notices that God appoints each Pilgrims journey, for His reasons, and loves to find that out. This is a very spiritual Way, and one can feel His presence along the entire Way. We are not exempt, and the discovery happens day by day.

Blessings to all. Keep praying.

You provide a broad Camino for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way (Ps 18:36). In the “New Living Hebrew Version, “feet” and “ankles” are also translated “puppies.”

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your Camino to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this (Ps. 37:4-5).

We fly out west tomorrow for Shawna’s graduation at USC on Friday: Doctor of Music. Then we wend our way to Oregon to visit with our buds for a few days…wish you were going to be there!

Always missing and praying for you. Church is being well cared for by Dayspring’s wonderful men and women. Rummage is, as always, thriving:), and Oregon is a beautiful place to be living right now–flowers abound. Anxiously awaiting lots of DETAILS!! Love and blessings, Norma

    Good Morning, Skip and Carol,

I see my post finally happened on Day 17. I tried a few times before and for some reason it didn’t go. Anyway, so moved by what He is doing in both of you and it sounds like in most, if not all, that make this Camino trek. Can’t wait to hear the “longer version” when you return. Praying always for you both and for “additional power” for the mountains ahead. What a huge trek this has been….so many miles…and it sounds like you are both doing so very well. God is so good….and delivers us always. Not only that, but enlightens as we go if we are listening just as you both do and have been regarding this journey from the day you made the decision to go. Oh how we want to hear about it all!

God bless you every step of the way…may He order each and every step you take (without blisters!). Past the halfway mark….isn’t it supposed to be all downhill from there?

    Much love and continual prayers,
    Cheryl and Norm
