We are in Barbadelo, about 111.0 k, or 68.5 miles, from Santiago. Mile by mile we are making the pilgrimage.
The scenery in Galicia is simply wonderful, spectacular in fact, with rivers and animals and birds giving us a daily concert, and the trails are like Silver Falls. The sun has come, and the gentle breeze is welcomed.
Each Albergue we stay in has its own charm and story. This one is like a private ranch, with horses and fields and mtn trails. We sat in the sun upon arrival and thought of home,as it could have been outside of Banks! Well, except they speak only Spanish here…
Think for a minute about walking. Then add in many hours of walking at the same time. Then think about what you might think about, with hours and hours to take in what you never seen when not paying attention. Yes, it is kind of interesting, and difficult to express here, much less for you to comprehend there, but let´s just say the long walk gives one time to process the time, and to listen to sounds. We walk together at times, and often alone, unless a fellow pilgrim is along the way. Lately our pace has left us behind the crowd we know, so perhaps we´ll meet a new group in the final days.
Blessings to all of you, and have a glorious Sunday praising our incomprable Lord Jesus Christ!
I look forward to each of your postings. I would love to think I could do what you are doing, but since you are doing it I don’t have to! So thanks!
I pray for your energy and expanded view of God’s great creation and grace for you. Can’t wait for your return.
Love, carol
Linda, Allan, Steve and Norma are trekking the Japanese Gardens. We’ll get our certificate by noon with a gelato chaser. Hope the last 68 miles are as glorious as you describe. Blessings from Banks.
I will instruct you and teach you in the “camino” you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Ps 32:8
If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

We’re in Hillsboro and wish you were here…but glad you’re where you’re at. We’ll be back in July and hope we get a debrief on your adventure.
Walk on, Light-Walkers!
Hi Skip and Carol, Yesterday Marni and I spent the afternoon together. I had planned to read to her, but instead we watched the movie, The Way. We spent time talking about you, were your ears burning? LOL… We can only imagine what your journey has been and is like as you have walked. June
What a blessing you are, Skip and Carol. In your presence and in your absence…walking with you along this Camino in spirit and in prayer. What perseverance, commitment and fortitude you have shown in this amazing journey. Truly, Norm and I can’t wait to hear so much more from you both about this.
Reading your blog entry for today felt so “peaceful”…I pray that is how you are feeling, amidst the many miles of walking, at this point. I wonder what it must feel like as you ponder the “closeness” of the end of the Camino approaching. Can’t even imagine…this has been huge.
God bless you both. Praying you on to the finish and then praying you home!
Love, Cheryl and Norm
This is the first time I have seen your blog, thank you Jason Domer! I can’t believe you are still walking! 32 days! Do you take any days off? I will be excited to hear all about it when we get home. It is getting hot here, but so far has cooled off in the evenings some. We leave Mexico on June 1, next Sat!

Praying your last few days are glorious!! What a blessing you are and continue to be to all of us! Enjoy the last few days you have there. A month from now you may wish you were back on the ‘camino’!
You are getting close!!!! Enjoy the silence, floral, rivers and lakes.
A private alberque in Portomarin, El Caminante. It may be a good
choice. Observe as much as you can.
I can feel your energy and your spiritual growth along The Way.
Blessings, Jan In Seaside.
We love having this adventure through you two!! Slogging through the Snow?? Here’s our great report. When Ron’s device was turned on, with one click of the computer, his facial muscles relaxed so he doesn’t scrunch his face when he talks. His speech is clearer (but still soft) and he has not had even one of the panic attacks he had practically every day! We’re looking forward to the next “ramp up” on Tuesday the 28th!! Bountiful Blessings upon you, Bonnie and the Bionic Man
